16th Egypt CSR & Sustainability Forum in El Alamein: From Vision to Implementation

The 16th Egypt CSR & Sustainability Forum took place from 30 April to 2 May 2026 at Rixos Premium Alamein on Egypt's North Coast, under the theme From Vision to Implementation. The edition was designed to go beyond theory and give participants a sustainability toolbox: tools, policies and experience that turn big questions into practical plans.

Day 1: strategy and leadership

The opening day brought together leaders from government, business and civil society, with sessions including:

• CEO's Talk: CEOs' vision for shaping the future of sustainability
• Egypt's CSR & Sustainability Action
• From Financial Inclusion to Economic Empowerment
• Expert talks on the strategy of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work, on maritime transport and seaport investment, and on measuring and certifying social impact

Days 2 and 3: hands-on workshops

The second and third days focused on implementation, with workshops and expert talks on:

• Turning sustainability and carbon into business growth, and carbon management as strategic value creation
• Implementing an ESG reporting framework based on COSO internal control
• Legal oversight of ESG compliance, and ESG in contracts, due diligence and litigation
• HR's role in ESG and sustainable transformation
• EDGE green building certification, from first steps to implementation
• How to set sustainability performance targets to access sustainability-linked loans
• Integrating ESG and climate risk into enterprise risk management
• Green procurement, and communicating sustainability without greenwashing
• Implementing a sustainability assurance framework in line with ISSA 5000

Day two also saw the launch of Egypt Sustainability Academy.

What's next

The Egypt CSR & Sustainability Forum has been held every year since 2015. Organisations that want to take part in the 17th edition can request a meeting. In the meantime, the conversation continues at Egypt Sustainable Business Week on 1–2 November 2026.
